Kristin Fisher was added to the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. As a correspondent for Space and Defense, Kristin Fisher covers everything starting from NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space businesses and space tourism. Kristin, the daughter of NASA astronauts as well as an enthusiastic space lover, grew up immersed in the industry. She spent five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Trump and Biden Administrations. In addition to covering two presidential impeachment cases, 2020's Presidential Campaign, and the two administrations' attempts to stop the spread of coronavirus The reporter also covered a range of other things. Kristin traveled extensively, including both the president and vice president. The reporter even took a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Before joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Using her skills behind the camera, Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company specialized in making documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter live in Washington, D.C.
